The Car Show is now another popular niche event for the park. This year's event was held Saturday May 24th. See photo's of some of the wonderfull cars that participated.

The Fishing Derby is a wonderful event held in June each year, that provides the opportunity for children of all ages to fish in the ponds in Vale Park . The ponds are stocked with trout and bass for the annual event. Prizes are awarded at event co-sponsored by Talor and Vadney.

The Comfort Station project has been proposed to create permanent restroom facilities in the park for event use only. This will enable the location to be considered for special events.

The Good Chemistry Run – the 5K Run for the Park has a new corporate sponsor. The SI Group, the main sponsor and key volunteer for park events, has changed taken the successful event to a new level by changing the name to “Good Chemistry Run.” The event included giveaways that showed how the chemical company manufactures products that go into plastics, detergents, tires, adhesives and electronic components. The event sponsor is guided by the desire to create more public awareness about its operations and the role its products play in our lives. Corporate Partners - MVP Health Plan has always been a supporter of the task force and the park improvements but has joined forces with SI Group as corporate sponsor of the park.

Neighborhood Partners – Castelo's Restaurant , directly next to the park, has been very involved in supporting events and activities in the park. Bill Kownack , owner, has been a very active Task Force volunteer. The Vale Cemetery Association and Dr. Bernard McEvoy are also great supporters of the park revitalization efforts.
